Hi Hazel, thank you for your review. The type of wax we use in our candles is very slow burning as it doesn’t have any chemicals or additives added to the wax. This just means that it takes a little longer for it to reach a full melt pool. Please allow your candle to burn for the full 4 hours on the first 2 burns, any wax left at the edge will melt away as the heat rises and the flame travels lower in the jar.
